Kassandra Jo Tomaras is a New Yorker, a mother, a writer, and a literary translator. She has published literary criticism, personal essays, short speculative fiction, and translations of fantasy stories by the Yiddish author Der Nister.
Kassandra Jo Tomaras is a queer trans woman. Her current projects include Attack Helicopter Mother, a collection of personal essays about transgender motherhood; and Imagined, a collection of translations of short stories first published by Der Nister in the 1920s.
She has been a regular contributor to the Anarchist Review of Books.
